We think one of the Mistresses' willing victims had upset her and she wanted to cover the face up quickly with no fuss. So the hood is simple to slip on and quick and easy to take off with small holes for the eyes that allow the wearer a silhouette type view.

The hood has a medieval cross stud pattern detail on the front rather than being featureless.
